I have also worked creating some Instagram news graphics. Social media is one of the main places people discover and read the news. The examples shown here are designs I did for an Instagram page which posted news and recent events going on in the Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B music world. Due to Instagram’s photo-centric feed and audience, the way news is delivered on the app is very different to a news site, for example, and therefore the graphics are tailored for this. I believe that understanding news, culture and current events through apps like Instagram will only increase in the years to come - as we have seen with the infographics that circle when there is a major world event or a trending topic - and therefore this style of presenting news through these graphics will become increasingly popular.
